Over the past 14 years Rupert Osmond has become a recognised player amongst the Uk Soulful House Circuit, with his passionate Dj work and production. 2002 he was head hunted by Swing City Records, where he is now Production Manager & A&R consultant.

After many his many ‘Soul Heaven’ guest appearances, 2005 Rupert started his new residency which resides at it’s spiritual home, Ministry of Sound. Rupert is now a regular feature at their infamous Soulful House parties all over the U.k & Europe.

2005 saw Remixes for Sk Radicals, Danish Duo ‘Rask& Salling, Grant Nelson feat Dj Disciple & Brighton electro outfit ‘Alien six’ & his Nutwood E.P production.

2005 also see’s him working with Ceri Evans (Sunship) & Mike Nielson for their Latin/ Nu Jazz based projects under the name of ‘Hoops’.

Rupert started DJ-ing back in the late 80’s, his sets consisted of soul, jazz & hip-hop. His first introduction into house was 1988. He frequented seminal house club, Shoom and Club Zoo @ Soho Theatre. By 1990 his ears were tuned into Soulful House sound.

Late 1991 @ Garage City. Rupert was in the crowd and by the end of the night the plan to make a mix tape was in motion. Ricky Morrison (M&S) gave a mix tape to promoters Bobby & Steve and within a few weeks he became a weekly resident.

Swing City Records Dj-ing was still then a very much obsessive hobby. Soon he found his bookings were becoming more frequent, travelling to different cities and countries where crowds were reacting to his set’s with the same enthusiasm he’d been receiving in London.

Rupert (nicknamed Rude Boy ) has been spinning his Soulful & uplifting sets since 1991 with education & new material always at the forefront. A known risk taker and trusted head within the competitive House circuit.

At the End of 2003 Rupert left his 12 year Garage City residency on its closing night @ Bar Rumba to concentrate on his new productions for the Swing City Label and Dj-ing on their tour nights where he teams up with prolific UK DJ/Producerand label artist Grant Nelson.

Rupert has gained respect from many of the international DJ's who have inspired & appeared alongside him, his name has graced line up’s alongside, Little Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, Terry Hunter, Dimitri from Paris, DJ Spen, Brian Tappert, Bobby & Steve, Todd Terry, India, DJ Disciple, Phil Asher, Paul ‘ trouble’ Anderson, Ultra Nate, Benji Candelario, Roger Sanchez, Ten City, Kenny ‘studio 54’ Carpenter, Norman Jay, Danny Tenaglia, DJ Pierre, Derek Carter, Claudio Cocolutto, CJ Mackintosh, Grant Nelson ,Ricky Morrison, Danny ‘Budha’ Morales, Joey Negro, 95 North , Mike Delgado, Joe Clausell, Kerri Chandler and the list goes on and on ...
